Kenny Atkinson won’t become the Hornets’ head coach

According to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, Kenny Atkinson has decided he won’t become the Charlotte Hornets’ head coach and will remain with the Golden State Warriors as the top assistant. After being offered a job during the NBA Finals, further conversations led Atkinson to believe it would be best to remain with the Golden State Warriors. Mike D’Antoni and Terry Stotts were the other two finalists for the job. The Charlotte Hornets will have to restart the process now.
