Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James said suspended Brooklyn Nets point guard Kyrie Irving should be allowed to play after he apologized for posting the link to the documentary which is hosted on Amazon.
“I told you guys that I don’t believe in sharing hurtful information. And I’ll continue to be that way but Kyrie apologized and he should be able to play. That’s what I think. It’s that simple,” James wrote Thursday on Twitter. “Help him learn – but he should be playing. What he’s asked to do to get back on the floor I think is excessive IMO [in my opinion]. He’s not the person that’s being portrayed of him. Anyways back to my rehab session.”
Retired NBA player-turned-ESPN analyst Kendrick Perkins shared some of his thoughts on LeBron James’ tweet about his former teammate Kyrie Irving: “He’s one of the most powerful, iconic, individuals in the world. Not just in the sports world, in the world… That was just the first step. Use your power to actually get it done.”
