According to a report by John Gambardo, the Suns could target small forwards Yuta Watanabe and Keita Bates-Diop to bolster their roster. With the recent addition of Bradley Beal in a trade, the Suns are focused on building a strong supporting cast around their Big 3 of Kevin Durant, Devin Booker, and Beal.
Watanabe, 28, averaged 5.6 points and 2.4 rebounds in 16 minutes per game for the Nets last season. The Suns view him as a potential veteran minimum free agent signing who could provide depth and contribute in multiple areas.
Bates-Diop, on the other hand, had a solid season with the Spurs, averaging 9.7 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 1.5 assists in 21.7 minutes per game. His ability to score and defend could make him an attractive option for Phoenix.
