The Minnesota Timberwolves and second-round pick Josh Minott have agreed to a four-year, $6.8 million contract. Minott was drafted with the 15th pick of the second round and his draft rights were traded to the Wolves in in a draft night deal.
Minott played a small role off the bench in his one season at Memphis. He played just 14.5 minutes per game for the Tigers as a freshman, but flashed enough potential to get drafted in the middle of the second round.
In Summer League, Minott has averaged 12.3 points, 9.5 rebounds, 1.5 steals and 1.5 blocks per game. He’s also shot 45.5% on limited three-point attempts over four games in Las Vegas.
