The LA Clippers announced that John Wall has an abdominal strain. Wall will be reevaluated in two weeks.
Wall was injured during the Clippers loss on Friday night to the Denver Nuggets. Wall was in the midst of a strong game with 16 points, seven rebounds and four assists when he was hurt.
With Wall out, LA coach Ty Lue said that Reggie Jackson will be elevated to the backup point guard role. Last week, the Clippers installed Terance Mann as their starting point guard and Jackson was removed from the rotation.
In his first season with the Clippers, Wall has averaged 11.4 points and 5.2 assists in 22.2 minutes per game off the bench. The 12-year veteran had returned to the court after sitting out all of last season while with the Houston Rockets.
