The Philadelphia 76ers star Joel Embiid was interviewed after the team was defeated 112-88 in Game 7 by the Boston Celtics on Mother’s Day. Boston’s Jayson Tatum sets a Game 7 record with 51 points.
On the 76ers beyond this season, Embiid said the team needs some self-reflection, and that it takes everyone to win after failing to capitalize on the opportunity this year.
“We’ve got an unfinished job. We haven’t won anything and I think we’ve got the chance to win,” Embiid said. “We’ve got what it takes to win. … I still believe me and him have the chance to win. But it’s going to take more than us.”
