Earlier this season as the Utah Jazz were struggling, there were reports that they could consider listening to trade offers for Lauri Markkanen. The talk was loud enough for Markkanen to be asked about it and he expressed a desire to remain with the Jazz.
The Jazz have subsequently played better with Markkanen continuing to play at an All-Star level.
During a Q&A on Wednesday, Adrian Wojnarowski was asked about a potential Markkanen trade.
“The Jazz seem determined to keep building a roster around Markkanen,” replied Wojnarowski.
Markkanen can become a free agent in 2025 if he doesn’t sign an extension before then.
