James Harden has not attended any preseason games with the Philadelphia 76ers and has participated in just one team practice scrimmage over two weeks of training camp, sources tell Shams Charania of The Athletic.
Harden has been “professional and engaged when present” with the Sixers despite the continuation of his trade request. Harden opted into his $35.6 million contract with the Sixers on the eve of free agency with the intent of being traded to the Los Angeles Clippers.
The Sixers and Clippers have discussed a Harden trade, but have yet to find common ground on acceptable terms for both sides.
The Sixers open their regular season on Thursday, October 26th against the Milwaukee Bucks.
