Former NBA star Jamal Crawford decided to end his career as a professional basketball player. The announcement after the former three-time NBA Sixth Man of the Year turned 42-years-old.
He retired after 20 years in the NBA, playing for nine different teams. Crawford’s best season in terms of individual statistics was in 2007-08 when he played for the Knicks. That year he averaged 20.6 points per game.
Over his NBA career Crawford averaged 14.6 points, 2.2 rebounds and 3.4 assists in 29.4 minutes per game. In 2019 he broke the league record for the oldest player to score 50+ points. On April 9, 2019, at 39 years old and 20 days, Crawford scored 50 points.
“Goodbye to the game, all the spoils the adrenaline rush.” Thank you basketball, I owe you everything,” Crawford tweeted.
