Memphis Grizzlies star Ja Morant will be out for an indefinite amount of time due to a Grade 1 left ankle sprain. Morant will be considered week-to-week due to the injury.
Morant was injured in the Grizzlies victory over the Oklahoma City Thunder on Friday. Memphis is already without Morant’s backcourt partner Desmond Bane for two-to-three weeks due to a sprained big toe.
The Grizzlies recently welcomed back Jaren Jackson Jr, after he missed the start of the season while recovering from knee surgery. Ziaire Williams and Danny Green remain sidelined due to knee injuries. Williams is expected back sometime next month, while Green may return during the second half of the season.
