Detroit Pistons big man Isaiah Stewart will be sidelined and re-evaluated for two to three weeks due to a sprained right big toe, sources told ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.
Stewart sustained the injury during the Pistons’ Monday 115-111 loss against the Toronto Raptors. He only played 13 minutes and tallied nine markers and four boards.
The 21-year-old big man is currently performing well for Detroit, averaging career highs in points (12.0), rebounds (9.3), assists, (1.3) while shooting 33.3 percent from three in 3.6 attempts for 15 games.
His sudden absence botched the Pistons’ intentions to start a towering frontcourt wherein he’ll be partnered with Marvin Bagley III, who just only made his season debut against Raps after recovering from a knee injury.
