‘Influential’ Members Of Knicks Organization Expect Team To Take Step Forward This Season

“Influential” people within the New York Knicks have set an expectation that the team take a step forward this season, sources told Ian Begley of SNY.

The Knicks finished with a 37-45 record last year.

Tom Thibodeau said earlier this week that he doesn’t feel any pressure heading into his third season with the team.

“I’ve never felt pressure, ever. See, when you put everything you have into your job, that’s all you can do. So I’ve never felt pressure. Others can say this, that; that ain’t happening here. Just get ready (to play),” said Thibodeau.

Team president Leon Rose was given the choice to part ways with Thibodeau heading into last All-Star break but decided to stick by the coach.

Begley adds that members within the Knicks organization are looking to see a “tangible improvement” this upcoming season.
