As is their usual pregame routine, the Indiana Fever took their places on the court for the playing of the National Anthem, standing together in unity as the music played. In contrast, the Connecticut Sun adhered to their established pregame tradition of remaining off the court during the anthem.
Once the final notes of the anthem faded, the Sun players promptly emerged from the tunnel and took their positions on the court, ready to join their opponents and proceed with the game.
