The Charlotte Hornets have been granted permission to interview several current assistant coaches for their vacant head coaching position, left open by Steve Clifford. The coaches they are considering include:
- David Adelman from the Denver Nuggets
- Jordi Fernandez from the Sacramento Kings
- Charles Lee from the Boston Celtics
- Kevin Young from the Phoenix Suns
