The Atlanta Hawks announced that forward Jalen Johnson underwent a non-surgical procedure on his left knee after the season. The procedure was to alleviate tendinitis for Johnson. He’s expected to make a full recovery before training camp this fall.
Johnson appeared in just 22 NBA games in his rookie season. He was part of a deep Hawks frontcourt. In eight G League contests with the College Park Skyhawks, Johnson averaged 22.5 points, 11.3 rebounds, 4.4 assists, 1.1 steals and 1.6 blocks in 34.6 minutes per game.
Johnson is likely to miss 2022 Summer League, as he rehabs from the procedure.
