The Memphis Grizzlies are signing two-way rookie forward Kenneth Lofton Jr. to a four-year, $7 million contract, per ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski (Twitter link).
Lofton Jr. was recently crowned G League Rookie of the Year. In 17 appearances in the regular season, he averaged 20.2 points per game, 10.5 rebounds, 3.9 assists, and 1.2 steals. Lofton Jr. scored 20+ points in 8 games and 30+ points twice, including a career-high 33 points against Delaware on Feb. 3.
The Grizzlies are waiving rookie point guard Kennedy Chandler, a second-round pick, to create a roster spot for Lofton.
