The Memphis Grizzlies have locked up another member of their young core. Memphis and Brandon Clarke have agreed to a four-year, $52 million contract extension.
The Grizzlies have been aggressive in re-signing their own players in recent years. Memphis has reached contract extensions with Dillon Brooks, Jaren Jackson Jr. and Ja Morant before their rookie contracts expired. Memphis also signed Steven Adams and John Konchar to veteran extensions this offseason.
For his career, Clarke has averaged 10.9 points, 5.6 rebounds and nearly a block per game in 21.9 minutes per game. With Jackson sidelined to begin the season, Clarke is expected to play a bigger than usual role for the Grizzlies.
