The Boston Celtics power forward Grant Williams said he deserved his one-game suspension for bumping Cheryl Flores after showing frustration following a blocking foul call.
Williams refuted Marc Davis’ assertion that he collided with Flores intentionally, but said he needed to be aware of his surroundings and apologized to her through union back channels.
Grant will miss Friday’s Boston Celtics vs. Cleveland Cavaliers game, admitting he let his team down and will try to be less vocal with officials moving forward:
