Florida basketball announced another non-conference game on its 2024-25 men’s basketball schedule on Monday.
The Florida Gators will face Arizona State on Dec. 14 as part of a Holiday Hoopsgiving tripleheader at State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Ga.
The two other games will feature SEC schools as well, as Auburn will face Ohio State and Georgia will face Grand Canyon University in the same event.
Arizona State returns two starters under a team that went 14-18 under head coach and former Duke All-American point guard Bobby Hurley, who is 155-131 in nine seasons at the school.
Florida returns three starters, including leading scorer and preseason All-American candidate combo guard Walter Clayton Jr. (17.6 ppg) from a team that went 24-12 and made the NCAA Tournament under head coach Todd Golden, who is entering his third season.
The Gators are also bringing back shooting guard Will Richard (11.4 ppg, 34.5% shooting from 3-point range last season) and added guard Alijah Martin (Florida Atlantic), forward Sam Alexis (Chattanooga) and center Ruben Chinyelu (Washington State) from the transfer portal.
