The claims about the relationship originated from an unnamed individual on social media, who posted a video featuring Giddey.
Despite the controversy, the fans still expressed their support with a loud ovation during the player introductions. The now-deactivated account asserted that the alleged underage girl is a high school junior.

Giddey chose to remain silent when questioned about the accusations that emerged on social media Wednesday night.
“I understand the question obviously, but no further comment right now,” Giddey told reporters, who pressed him repeatedly.
“I get the question guys, I completely understand you want to know about it, but just for right now, I don’t have anything to say.”
