Cleveland Cavaliers big man Evan Mobley discussed his improved three-point shooting after last night’s 114-106 road win vs. the Washington Wizards (22 points/8 rebounds/1 assist/1 steal/1 block/9-10 FG/2-2 3-PT/2-2 FT/+7 +/-).

Reporter: “Five of your last six from 3-point. Is that something you’ve obviously wanted to improve on?”
Mobley: “Yeah. Been working on that for a while. Just trying to go out there and shoot them with confidence. They’ve been dropping recently, so I’m going to just keep shooting them and keep trusting my work.”
Reporter: “That’s been a point of discussion in these media rooms since you’ve come back that Evan has to shoot threes. I know the last two games you’ve been putting them up there, what is the difference or impact that you see when you are standing out there and shooting those threes? How do you think that helps the Cavs?”
Mobley: “Spacing. Guys can help off if they feel I’m not going to shoot. When I’m making threes I feel like… like in that fourth (quarter), they weren’t helping off as much, which had DG [Darius Garland] & Don [Mitchell] going downhill and getting them wide open layups. So yeah, just shooting it with confidence and having that spacing really helps the team.”
