WORLD CHILDREN’S DAY: This Saturday is World Children’s Day, and this week was an opportunity for the clubs to put once again its main focus on the young ones, as they held Children’s nights in the arenas across the continent.

COUNTDOWN TO RETURN: Aaron White broke his wrist during preseason, and his close to returning to the court and making his Crvena Zvezda debut.

EUROLEAGUE TRAVELS: Double-week means double the travels.


WARM WELCOMES: Matthias Lessort was thrilled to see and took time to greet his former Monaco teammates, team he helped win EuroCup crown last season. Tornike Shengelia, former Baskonia team captain was greeted to a hero’s welcome at Buesa Arena, while in Villeurbanne, Real Madrid’s French trio of Fabien Causeur, Guerschon Yabusele and Thomas Heurtel felt at home, especially Yabusele and Heurtel who were thanked by the club for helping it win French League title last season.


MILESTONES: Round 10 game was 250th for Tibor Pleiss in his EuroLeague career, and he finished it with exactly 2,000 points to his name. Congrats, Tibor!

ONE TO REMEMBER: Barcelona’s 18-year guard Agustin Ubal made his EuroLeague debut last night in Villeurbanne.

RECOVERY TIME: Between road games against Maccabi and Efes, Monaco players used some time for recovery – in an outdoor pool.

WINNERS’ CORNER I: Scottie Wilbekin was on fire on Wednesday for Maccabi, and Barcelona won the big showdown against CSKA for first of its two wins this week.

WINNERS’ CORNER II: Seven teams – UNICS, Zenit, Zalgiris, Bayern, Efes, Real and Barcelona – won twice this past week.
