Rookie E.J. Liddell inks a two-way deal with the New Orleans Pelicans, the team announced via press release.
Chosen by the Pels for the 41st pick of this year’s draft, Liddell, unfortunately, sustained a right ACL tear during his stint at the Summer League. It remains yet to be seen if he’ll be able to play this upcoming season.
Liddell has a solid three-year collegiate run with Ohio State as muscling forward, wherein he was named to Third Team All-American, All-Big Ten First Team, and Big Ten All-Defensive Team last NCAA season.
NOLA will open their 2022-23 season in a face-off with the Brooklyn Nets on Wednesday.
