Detroit Pistons head coach Dwane Casey praised Hamidou Diallo for setting the tone during last night’s 116-104 road win vs. the Minnesota Timberwolves (12 points/8 rebounds/3 assists/2 steals/2 blocks/5-10 FG/2-4 FT).

Reporter: “Do you think that second unit kinda takes on the infinity of Hami, or at least, Hami at his best? It seemed like the game broke open in that 3rd quarter when Minnesota couldn’t stay in front of you guys in transition. Cory Joseph’s playing faster, Marvin Bagley’s playing faster.”
Casey: “Well they had to keep up with Hami. They had to keep up with him. He was a rabbit out there in front. So they had to run to stay up with him. He sets the tone. Hami’s playing with a pure heart. He’s not trying to do too much, he’s playing within himself, and that’s where he has to play for us to win. He’s doing it, that’s why it was upsetting that he missed last night because he was really in a groove in that Orlando game and would have really helped us.”
