The Associated Press released its 2024-25 preseason All-America men’s basketball team on Monday, headlined by a heavy dose of returning stars and a incoming player with the most hype of any freshman in years . Alabama star guard Mark Sears received 54 of 55 possible votes from AP voters, while UNC star RJ Davis received 51 votes.

The final spot on the six-man team was a tie between Arizona guard Caleb Love and Duke forward Cooper Flagg. Each player received 24 votes to join Kansas’ Hunter Dickinson and Auburn’s Johni Broome on the prestigious preseason list. Dickinson, Sears, Davis and Love were all voted as All-Americans last season and bypassed the NBA Draft to return to school for another season.

Sears, Dickinson, Davis and Flagg earned preseason All-American first-team honors by CBS Sports last week, while Broome and Love were voted second-team. Kansas (No. 1), Alabama (No. 2), Duke (No. 7) and North Carolina (No. 9) all are in the top 10 of the AP Top 25 preseason poll released last week.
