Draymond Green was fired up at the end of the Warriors’ one-point win over the Suns on Saturday night and he took aim at his old teammate Kevin Durant.
Following the Warriors’ 113-112 win over the Suns, clips emerged of Green screaming at Durant and beating his chest.
There was no love lost between the pair, who shared a locker room with for three seasons and won two NBA titles together.
“Everyone was questioning what I said to KD at the end of the game,” Green said on The Draymond Green show. “‘This is me. It’s me.’ I’m not going to share the other word that I said because, you know, that’s a spur-of-the-moment type of thing.
*Sidenote: judging by the clip, the other word Draymond said looks to have been pu**y.
“You’re in a game and words come up,” Green continued. “But this is me. I do this. [I’ve] been doing this. Going to keep doing this. Which is the same thing that I said in that Clippers game years ago. [I’ve] been winning championships.
“[I’ve] been doing this. [I’m] going to keep doing this when you leave here. I didn’t lie, got fined a whole game check which is like $160,000 for saying that.”
Durant definitely heard the message loud and clear.
“You can read his lips. Something like, ‘It’s me, it’s me”,” KD said postgame after he was asked what Green said to him. “I guess he’s saying don’t go at him late in a game like that. You know, he was just pumping himself up, that’s what he does, like I said with 0.6 seconds…he was gonna make a play there..that’s his game.”
Draymond’s beef wasn’t just with Durant, but with Phoenix big man Jusuf Nurkic.
Green went on a very detailed rant after the game about how much he thinks Nurkic sucks as a basketball player, and also called out KD again in the process.
