The Celtics is one of the best defensive teams this season. There was a lot of talk how Boston’s defense will be able to handle the Warriors’ offense in the NBA Finals. Game 1 was the first sample of what to expect.
Ime Udoka’s team won the game 120-108 to take the first lead in the series. After the game Draymond Green was asked about what he saw from the Celtics on the defensive end.
“They got a good defense. We knew that coming in,” Green said. “There was no surprises. We know what they want to get to on the defensive side and how they like to play.
“They know what we’re trying to get to. So, no surprises. They are who we thought they were. Now we’ll watch the clips, watch the film and figure out what we need to do to attack it.”
