The 2023-24 Detroit Pistons have some solid young pieces all over but might lack the star power to make a real playoff push.
Regardless, all eyes will be on former No. 1 overall pick Cade Cunningham, a player with All-NBA potential who hasn’t put it all together yet, in part due to injury but also because his scoring hasn’t been efficient enough and his defense has been too unimpactful. Veteran swingman Bojan Bogdanovic might still be the best player on the team while second-year guard Jaden Ivey will be looking for a sophomore jump.
Former blue-chip big man prospects James Wiseman and Marvin Bagley will be fascinating to watch develop, as will rookie guard Ausar Thompson.
