The injury-ravaged Memphis Grizzlies might have some reinforcements on the way. Both guard Desmond Bane and forward Brandon Clarke are closing in on returns.
Bane has advanced to playing five-on-five in recent days. Grizzlies coach Taylor Jenkins said Bane should return to game action in “a couple games”. Bane hasn’t played in over two months, since he suffered a Grade 3 left ankle sprain on January 12.
Clarke has yet to play this season. He tore his left Achilles tendon last March. But Clarke has ramped up considerably and will begin five-on-five work this coming weekend. Jenkins said the hope is Clarke will play in games by the end of the month.
