Brooklyn Nets veteran guard Dennis Smith Jr. has been impressed with rookie teammate Jalen Wilson since day one (averaging 8.7 PPG/4.3 RPG/2.3 APG/47.4% FG/66.7% 3-PT during the last three games).
(via Brooklyn Nets):
“How many years he do in college? Three, four? Four years, 23, he old as hell. But he knows how to play, he knows the things that it takes to win basketball games. When I came in, it was more so just like super talented and I was trying to learn that. He came in already with that mentality like, ‘This what Imma bring to a team. This what they need me to do to help win.’ And he just all about that, he a dog. Kind of like if you look at Doe [Dorian Finney-Smith] when he was first coming into the league. Just the way that he was always willing to crash and do the little things, J-Wil got that in his game as well. So, I think he gon’ have a bright future in the league. He should be around for a long time and contribute to a team winning.”
