Los Angeles Lakers coach Darvin Ham is pushing for a new dimension in Anthony Davis’s game, encouraging him to take more three-point shots.
Ham’s request is ambitious, as he hopes to see Davis attempt six three-pointers per game, a significant increase from last season’s 1.3 attempts per game.
While Ham acknowledges the challenge of achieving this goal, he firmly believes in Davis’s capability to become a more potent threat from beyond the arc.
“I’ve requested to see six 3-point attempts a game,” Ham said after Tuesday’s practice, per Dave McMenamin of ESPN.
In the previous season, Davis attempted 1.3 three-pointers per game, making 25.7% of them.
