While there was some outside speculation regarding the immediate future of Darvin Ham as head coach of the Los Angeles Lakers over the weekend, separate reporting from Marc Stein at Substack as well as ESPN’s Brian Windhorst indicate that a coaching change is in no way imminent.
The Lakers have struggled since winning the In-Season Tournament in early December.
“League sources say Ham continues to enjoy very strong support from Lakers owner Jeanie Buss and vice president of basketball operations Rob Pelinka,” writes Stein.
Ham is in his second season as head coach of the Lakers and is coming off a trip to the Western Conference Finals.
