Danilo Barthel calls it quits on his basketball career

German big man Danilo Barthel, aged 31, revealed his retirement from professional basketball via Instagram.

Barthel, who had represented Germany in the previous Tokyo Olympics, most recently played for Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul in the 2021-22 season. His last appearance in the EuroLeague was on April 8, 2022.
