Portland Trail Blazers All-Star Damian Lillard got off to a slow start during his team’s first 4 games, shooting the ball just 33.3% from the field and 17.1% behind the three point line.
Although, Lillard found his stroke in last night’s blowout win vs. the LA Clippers, scoring a season-high 25 points on a 52.9% field goal percentage and 71.4% three point percentage.
With an efficient performance now under his belt, Dame says he’s starting to see his poor shooting trend out and feels like a “loud” eruption of scoring will eventually be there.
(Via Portland Trail Blazers):
“I would say it’s definitely trending out. I shot the ball well tonight. There were still some shots that I missed that I felt like I should have made, but I shot the ball well tonight. I had a stretch in the third quarter of last game and I’ve just got to keep going in that direction. To me, I think when I come out of it, I feel like it’s going to be loud. Usually when I shoot the ball poorly over a stretch, it’s loud when I come out of that.”
