“All indications” point to Kyrie Irving signing a contract extension with the Brooklyn Nets this offseason, sources told Brian Lewis of the New York Post.
Irving currently has a player option worth $36.5 million for next season and has until June 29 to make a decision.
It was reported last month that the Nets were “outright unwilling” to sign Irving to a long-term deal.
Despite the rumors, the sentiment around the league is that Irving will re-sign with the Nets.
Irving has played a total of 123 of 226 games since signing a max deal in 2019.
