After years of heated rivalry, Chris Paul and Steph will become teammates for the first time ever this season since Paul was traded to Golden State.
NBA fans would remember the rivalry during the 2017-18 season when the Rockets and the Warriors went at it. The Dubs dominated that era with championships in 2015, 2017 and 2018.
The two still have fiery moments on the court and just last season, Steph was talking trash to Paul and he told him, “This ain’t 2014 no more”.

Despite this, Paul says he has a good relationship with the prolific three-point shooter and can’t wait to join forces with him.
“Me and Steph have known each other a long time,” Paul told ESPN’s Malika Andrews. “My wife was at his wedding, I think him and his wife was at our wedding. But we’ve known each other for a very long time so I’m excited to get a chance to play alongside him, Klay, Wig, Draymond, all them man, they got an unbelievable organization and that team is just, they’ve been playing together for a while and they know what they’re doing.
“I’m definitely excited about this because these guys know what it’s all about. They’ve been there, they’ve won over and over again. I’m glad to be a part of that process.”
Funnily enough, Paul appeared on a recent Hoop Collective podcast and he revealed that his favorite team he ever played on was actually the Rockets team that couldn’t defeat Golden State over six years ago.
“To be real honest with you, that first year in Houston might have been top two, top three or the best team I ever played on,” Paul said. “Seriously, we were so connected defensively, offensively. … Those years I was in Houston, we played the entire season to get ready for one team – for Golden State.”
No doubt 38-year-old Paul will be excited about the prospect of winning a championship with the Warriors, something he hasn’t yet achieved in his storied 18-season NBA career.
