University of Kentucky freshman guard Cason Wallace is declaring for the 2023 NBA Draft. Wallace is a projected top-10 pick in this June’s draft.
In his lone season with the Wildcats, Wallace averaged 11.7 points, 3.7 rebounds, 4.3 assists and 1.9 steals per game. He shot 45% from the field and 35% on three-pointers.
The 6-foot-4 combo guard is considered one of the best defenders in this draft class. Wallace’s wingspan and length as a perimeter defender are intriguing to teams. He also showed an ability to play as an on-ball facilitator late in the season. That increases Wallace’s value, as he showed he can be more than just a scorer.
