Chicago Bulls’ point-guard Lonzo Ball is expected to miss training camp, per a report from Jamal Collier and Ramona Shelburne of ESPN.
Ball has been out since January rehabbing a surgically repaired meniscus.
“He’s getting better, probably not at the speed that we would like,” Bulls’ vice president Arturas Karnisovas said in July.
“But he’s getting better.”
Now, it seems Ball will need a little more time to get back into game shape.
Ball averaged 13.0 points, 5.4 rebounds, 5.1 assists, and 1.8 steals on 42%/42%/75% shooting splits in 35 games last season with the Bulls.
The Bulls got off to a hot start last season, in large part due to Ball’s ball facilitation and defense, but fell in the standings after the former #2 overall pick went out with the meniscus injury.
