The Milwaukee Bucks lost two valuable reserve guards this week. Donte DiVincenzo was traded to the Sacramento Kings at the deadline, and Pat Connaughton was lost to a fractured fourth metacarpal in his right hand.
Connaughton is expected to return before the end of the regular season, after having surgery on Monday. With a need for some backcourt depth in the interim, the Bucks are going to aggressively pursue Goran Dragic on the buyout market. Dragic is expected to reach a buyout agreement with the San Antonio Spurs soon. The Spurs acquired Dragic at last week’s trade deadline.
Multiple playoff contenders are expected to chase Dragic. The Bucks can offer playing time and a key role on a team that is looking to repeat as NBA champions.
