The Milwaukee Bucks are inking Meyers Leonard to another 10-day deal, sources told ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.
Meyers, 31, was initially signed by the Bucks to the said deal last Feb. 22, wherein it was slated to expire on Friday.
This second contract further allows Leonard to prove himself to the Bucks franchise that he deserves a shot to be back in the NBA. The veteran big man notably drew controversy after delivering antisemitic slur during his live-streamed video game play last 2021, and went on to be unsigned until this season. Since then, he has been vocal about owning his unwanted mistake and proceeded to establish a deep connection with several Jewish communities.
In four games that he played so far with Milwaukee, Leonard averaged 2.8 points, 2.0 boards and shot 42.9 percent from three-point distance. He serves as an insurance big man for the club with Giannis Antetokounmpo, Brook Lopez and Bobby Portis taking the frontcourt lead.
