Caitlin Clark nearly made WNBA history last week, falling just one rebound short. However, on Saturday, during the fourth quarter against the Liberty, she achieved the first triple-double ever recorded by a rookie.
When Kayla Thornton missed a shot, Clark grabbed her 10th rebound, adding to her 11 assists and 16 points. The crowd at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis gave her a standing ovation.
Despite this milestone, the Fever required more to stage a comeback against the Liberty, but the game briefly paused to celebrate Clark’s accomplishment.
