Brooklyn Nets forward Ben Simmons will travel with his team to Philadelphia for their game on March 10, but he will not play against his former team. Simmons is expected to join his teammates on the bench, as the Nets take on the 76ers.
Simmons has yet to play this season, for either Brooklyn or Philadelphia. He’s been working his way back into playing condition, since the trade to the Nets, but has continued to have struggles with back soreness. That injury has been, in part, what has kept him from appearing in games this season.
There is reporting that says Simmons is expected to debut sometime after the Nets play at the Sixers. The most recent reports say Simmons is likely to play by March 15, when Brooklyn travels to Orlando. That would give Simmons and the Nets 14 games to round into form before the postseason.
