Point guard Dan Duscak (185-PG-02) had an amazing evening in the last round for second-ranked Ilirija, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 1.
The 19-year old player was the main contributor (28 points, four rebounds and four assists) to his team’s victory, helping them to beat Prievidza (#4, 0-2), the league’s bottom-ranked team 83-74. Ilirija was forced-out from the top positions in Alpe-Adria-Cup group D. But it’s just the very beginning of the season and Ilirija won just one (their first) game. It’s too early to say anything as the standings can be changed completely after next round. In the team’s last game Duscak had a remarkable three three-pointers out of 6 attempts. He turned to be Ilirija’s top player in his first season with the team. Dan Duscak has solid league stats. He is league’s best scorer averaging so far 28.0ppg. Duscak is in league’s top in and averages impressive 4.0spg,80.0% FGP and 50.0% from behind 3-point line.

The second best player in last round’s games was 23-year old Mate Kalajzic (189-SG-98, agency: BeoBasket) of league’s second-best Gorica. Kalajzic had a very good evening with 16 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists. Of course he led Gorica to another comfortable win outscoring Spisski Rytieri (0-2) 93-69. His team has extremely good start of the season. They won their first game. However the season is at the beginning, so everything can happen. They still may lose their high position in the standings. Kalajzic is well-known at Gorica and is a proven leader in his second season with the team. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 16.0ppg (#5). His other stats are also decent: 5.0rpg and 8.0apg.

Third on the list of top players last round was American Cameron DeLaney (193-SF-95) of Wels (#4). DeLaney showcased his all-around game by recording 23 points, eight rebounds and six assists in the last round. Despite DeLaney’s great performance Wels lost 76-79 to #2 ranked Pardubice. But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates especially in such crucial game. The season just started for DeLaney as he played only first game. But it already looks like he can be team’s leader.

The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it’s accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) – 2*BSAG – 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM – 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) – 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) – (FTA-FTM)
