Ningbo Rockets (CBA) inked 29-year old American 196cm swingman Damyean Dotson (college: Houston) for upcoming season. Dotson played most recently at Gaziantep Basketbol in Turkish TBL league. In 28 BSL games he averaged 14.9ppg, 4.1rpg and 3.0apg last season. He helped them to win the regular season and make it to the final. Dotson also played 13 games in FIBA Europe Cup where he had 14.8ppg, 3.1rpg, 3.1apg and 1.1spg. He contributed to his team making it to the quarterfinals. A very good season in his career as he was voted to Eurobasket.com All-FIBA Europe Cup Honorable Mention.
The previous (2021-22) season he played at Toros in U.S. NBA-G-League. In 36 games he recorded 14.6ppg, 4.2rpg and 3.6apg in that year. The other team he played shortly were the Knicks in NBA. In two games he got just 2.0ppg and 1.0rpg in that year. Dotson also spent pre-season at the Spurs in NBA.
In 2017 he was drafted by New York Knicks (NBA) in second round (44th overall). The former University of Houston star is in his seventh season in pro basketball.
He has played also professionally in other USA teams, NBA (Cleveland Cavaliers) and NBA G League (Westchester Knicks).
Dotson won NBA G League Atlantic Division championship title in 2018. He played also for University of Oregon for 2 years.
