Monaco – Tofas 89-83
Monaco played yet another preseason clash in Turkey. This time Obradovic’s side faced Tofas Bursa. The French team remained undefeated as they claimed a narrow win at the end. Mike James (185-G-1990, college: Lamar) unloaded 37 points and issued 6 assists to lead the charge.
Monaco dropped 28 points in the first period to take a 7-point lead. Tofas denied the deficit in the third quarter and eked out a 4-point advantage at the final intermission. But Monaco went on a 26-16 rally in the final stanza to snatch the win. Petr Cornelie (211-F/C-1995) delivered 12 points for Monaco. Zeljko Sakic (204-PF-1988) answered with 15 points, while Cassius Winston (185-PG-1997, college: Michigan St.) had 14 points in the loss.
