Darussafaka Lassa Istanbul (BSL) landed 25-year old American 196cm winger Mason Jones (college: Arkansas) for new season. Jones played most recently at Capitanes de Ciudad de Mexico (NBA G League) in the U.S. In 38 NBA-G-League games he averaged impressive 21.3ppg, 4.6rpg, 5.9apg and 1.3spg last season.
Part of previous (2022) summer he spent at the Lakers in NBA where in 5 games he had 11.4ppg, 4.2rpg and 3.4apg in 2022 year. He also played for the Lakers in NBA. In three games he recorded 6.7ppg, 2.0rpg and 2.7apg in 2022 year.
Jones is a very experienced player. He has played also professionally in other USA teams, NBA (Houston Rockets and Philadelphia 76ers), NBA G League (South Bay Lakers and RGV Vipers) and NBA Summer League (Washington Wizards).
Among many awards he won NBA Atlantic Division championship title in 2021. Jones was voted to AP NCAA D1 All-America Honorable Mention back in 2020.
He graduated from University of Arkansas in 2020 and it will be his fourth season in pro basketball. Jones played also for Connors State College for one year.
