Kyle Johnson

Defending champion Thor Thorlakshofn (Subway League) inked 33-year old British-Canadian 195cm guard Kyle Johnson (college: LIU Brooklyn). Johnson played last summer at Hamilton Honey Badgers in Canadian CEBL. In 6 games he recorded 8.3ppg, 2.7rpg and 1.3apg. He also played for Ottawa Blackjacks (CEBL) where in four games he averaged 3.0ppg and 3.0rpg.
Johnson also represented United Kingdom at the European Championship 2021 Pre-Qualifiers three years ago. His stats at that event were 6 games: 3.8ppg.
He is a very experienced player. Johnson has played also professionally in Cyprus (Apoel), France (SO Maritime Boulogne), Greece, Italy (Montegranaro, Monferrato, Cremona and Ferentino), Iceland (Njardvik and Stjarnan) and Canada (London Lightning, St.John’s E. and Fraser Valley). He was voted to Eurobasket.com All-Icelandic League Honorable Mention in 2021.
Johnson attended Long Island University until 2011 and it will be his eleventh (!!!) season in pro basketball.

A streaky shooter at the offensive side, he needs to improve at the defensive one, but has upside. Athetic skills and international experience could help him a lot.
