Grodno GrSU dominated down low during the game scoring 44 of its points in the paint compared to Tsmoki-Minsk U20’s 18. Grodno GrSU forced 19 Tsmoki-Minsk U20 turnovers. Evgeniy Savostyan (-2003) stepped up and scored 16 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners and guard Gleb Sherstobitov (164-2006) chipped in 12 points and 8 rebounds. Grodno GrSU’s coach Rustan Nosenko used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. Guard Aliaksei Bachkar (195-2003) responded with 9 points and 8 rebounds. Grodno dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Tsmoki II’s 32. Grodno forced 21 Tsmoki II turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The best player for the winners was Serbian power forward Nikola Djuric (203-1991) who scored 18 points and 9 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Serbian guard Dusan Majstorovic (196-1995, college: Maine) chipped in 21 points (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). Four Grodno players scored in double figures. Forward Artem Sekushenko (195-2001) produced 6 points and 12 rebounds and forward Nikita Matsal (189-2001) added 10 points respectively for the hosts.
