The guests trailed by 3 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 5-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 96-70. Raiders Basket dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Bisons’ 26. Raiders Basket had a 33-18 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Devaughn Jenkins (201-1995, college: Angelo St.) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 23 points and 16 rebounds. His fellow American import guard Jordan Perkins (185-1998, college: Longwood) contributed with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 7 rebounds and 12 assists for the winners. Four Raiders Basket players scored in double figures. Forward Eemeli Hollo (195-2001) answered with 19 points and center Aapeli Syrjamaki (214) added 8 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Bisons.

Kipina – HNMKY 104-71
The game was mostly controlled by Kipina. HNMKY was better in second period 25-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to HNMKY’s 40. They outrebounded HNMKY 52-29 including a 18-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. Kipina players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. American guard Brian Cameron (188-1997, college: Wesley) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 24 points, 12 rebounds and 9 assists for the winners and his fellow American import guard ArMond Davis (196-1995, college: UCSB) chipped in 26 points and 8 rebounds. Cameron is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Five Kipina players scored in double figures. Kipina’s coach Joni Hautsalo felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side forward Thomas Ronnholm (197-2003) responded with 18 points and 7 rebounds and guard Eric Chime (187-2004) scored 12 points and 6 rebounds.

Point guard Juuso Salmi (188-2004) stepped up and scored 15 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners and guard Tiitus Kuukkanen (191-2000) chipped in 19 points and 4 assists. Five Jyvaskyla BA players scored in double figures. At the losing side swingman Viljami Vartiainen (195-2004) responded with 20 points and 5 rebounds (made all of his nine free throws !!!) and guard Morris Ugusuk (189-2004) scored 11 points and 8 rebounds.

It looked good early as Huima took a 3-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then ToPo Juniorit had a 32-27 second period charge getting the lead and Huima was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 92-103. ToPo Juniorit made 16-of-18 charity shots (88.9 percent) during the game. ToPo Juniorit had a 29-16 advantage in offensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three nailing 19 long-distance shots on high 57.6 percentage. ToPo Juniorit players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. Forward Eldar Skamo (198-1986) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 24 points, 13 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners and guard Marius Van Andringa (189-1994, agency: Blacktop Management) chipped in 31 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Four ToPo Juniorit players scored in double figures. At the losing side American guard Zach Naylor (203, college: Tarleton St.) responded with 27 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and the other American import guard Deontaye Buskey (185, college: Charleston So.) scored 20 points and 6 assists. Huima’s coach Tommi Koskinen rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn’t help.
