The Regular Season in JLS is slowly approaching the end. But there may be still some important changes in the final standings in the last 3 rounds. Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

Undefeated leader Mega SM delivered the sixteenth consecutive win on Sunday night. This time they crushed 9th ranked Joker S. (7-12) 113-75 in Sremska Mitrovica. Mega SM dominated down low during the game scoring 70 of its points in the paint compared to Joker S.’s 40. Mega SM forced 29 Joker S. turnovers and outrebounded them 39-27 including 27 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 31 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by Joker S.’s players. 28 personal fouls committed by Joker S. helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Forward Bogoljub Markovic (204-2005) fired a double-double by scoring 29 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Slovenian forward Urban Kroflic (197-2006, agency: BeoBasket) chipped in 19 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists and 7 steals. Veljko Kovacevic (-2005) produced 25 points and 8 rebounds for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Undefeated Mega SM (16-0) have an impressive series of sixteen victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with a perfect record of 16 victories in a row. Joker S. lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the ninth position with 12 games lost. Mega SM are looking forward to face bottom-ranked Konstantin Nis (#12) on the road in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Joker S. will play against Crvena Zvezda and is hoping to prove to their supporters that they can break losing series.
The game in Kragujevac was also worth to mention about. Seventh ranked Zitko Basket (9-8) played at the court of 8th ranked Radnicki KG (8-11). Zitko Basket did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 96-78. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Radnicki KG. Worth to mention a great performance of Aleksej Ostovic (-2004) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 17 points and 13 rebounds. Aleksandar Mitrovic contributed with 17 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 6 steals for the winners. Zitko Basket’s coach Lazar Vukoslavcevic allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Ognjen Petkovic (-2004) answered with 20 points and 9 rebounds for Radnicki KG. Zitko Basket moved-up to fifth place. Radnicki KG at the other side keeps the eighth position with 11 games lost. Zitko Basket’s supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Beograd Partizan BG.
The game in Beograd was also quite interesting. Second ranked Borac Cacak (15-1) played at the court of 5th ranked Partizan BG (9-10). Borac Cacak defeated Partizan BG 85-74 on Monday. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Partizan BG. It was a great evening for Djordje Curcic-M who led his team to a victory scoring 19 points and 5 assists. At the losing side Savo Drezgic responded with 23 points, 8 assists and 4 steals. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the seventh consecutive win for Borac Cacak. They maintain second place with 15-1 record behind leader Mega SM. Loser Partizan BG dropped to the sixth position with ten games lost. Borac Cacak will meet at home Dynamic BG (#4) in the next round. Partizan BG’s supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Beograd to the arena Zitko Basket.

Other games of round 19 were quite predictable and ended without any surprises. Here they are:
Spartak crushed Sloboda U. in Subotica 86-65. Crvena Zvezda smashed Vojvodina NS at home 86-63. Bottom-ranked Konstantin Nis was destroyed by Dynamic BG on the opponent’s court 91-59.

Radnicki KG – Zitko Basket 78-96

The game in Kragujevac was also worth to mention about. Seventh ranked Zitko Basket (9-8) played at the court of 8th ranked Radnicki KG (8-11). Zitko Basket did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 96-78. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Radnicki KG. Zitko Basket players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Aleksej Ostovic (-2004) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 17 points and 13 rebounds. Forward Aleksandar Mitrovic (204-2004) contributed with 17 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 6 steals for the winners. Sloboda U. – Spartak 65-86

There was no surprise in Uzice where 11th ranked Sloboda U. (3-16) was crushed by eighth ranked Spartak (8-7) 86-65 on Sunday. It was a great evening for swingman Dusan Cicic (191-2004) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 25 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. Point guard Martin Burda (180-2005) helped adding 22 points and 4 assists. Four Spartak players scored in double figures. At the losing side center Pavle Backo (208-2007) responded with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 13 rebounds and guard Luka Vukajlovic (190-2005) scored 24 points and 4 assists. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Spartak moved-up to seventh place. Sloboda U. lost their fifth game in a row. They keep the eleventh position with 16 games lost. Spartak will meet at home Radnicki KG (#8) in the next round. Sloboda U. will play against Vojvodina NS in Novi Sad and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

No shocking result in a game in Beograd where third ranked Crvena Zvezda (13-4) smashed 10th ranked Vojvodina NS (5-13) 86-63 on Sunday. Crvena Zvezda looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by Vojvodina NS’s players. It was a great evening for center Lazar Gacic (212-2005, agency: BeoBasket) who led his team to a victory scoring 16 points and 9 rebounds. Forward Vasilije Dabic (197-2005) helped adding 18 points. Five Crvena Zvezda players scored in double figures. At the losing side Vuk Kovijanic (-2004) responded with 16 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists and Marko Vuckovic (-2005) scored 18 points. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Crvena Zvezda maintains third place with 13-4 record having just two points less than leader Mega SM. Vojvodina NS lost their third game in a row. They keep the tenth position with 13 games lost. Crvena Zvezda will meet Joker S. (#9) in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Vojvodina NS will play against Sloboda U. and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Very expected game in Beograd where 12th ranked Konstantin Nis (1-17) were rolled over by fourth ranked Dynamic BG (12-7) 91-59 on Sunday. Dynamic BG dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Konstantin Nis’ 26. They outrebounded Konstantin Nis 52-27 including a 17-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. Dynamic BG looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Dynamic BG made 10 blocks. It was a great evening for power forward Ognjen Romic (204-2005) who led his team to a victory scoring 18 points and 8 rebounds. Swingman Aleksa Ristic (192-2005) helped adding 9 points, 6 rebounds and 11 assists. At the losing side Luka Draskovic (-2004) responded with 16 points and Ilija Petrovic (-2005) scored 9 points and 5 assists. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the third consecutive win for Dynamic BG. They maintain fourth place with 12-7 record. Konstantin Nis lost their third game in a row. They stay dead last with 17 lost games. Dynamic BG will meet league’s second-placed Borac Cacak on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Konstantin Nis will play against the league’s leader Mega SM (#1) and hope to win that game.
